Celebrities Who’ve Used a Gestational Surrogate
Actress Angela Bassett and hubby Courtney B. Vance – Bassett, famous for her Oscar-nominated performance in the Tina Turner biopic What’s Love Got to Do with It, and Vance (star of Law and Order: Criminal Intent) had twins Bronwyn Golden and Slater Josiah through a gestational surrogate.
Robert De Niro Oscar-winning actor Deniro and his ex-partner Toukie Smith had twin boys using a surrogate in 1995.
Peri Gilpin – Actress Peri Gilpin, famous for playing Ros in the sitcom Frasier, had two baby girls, Stella and Ava, using a gestational surrogate.
Kelsey Grammer and his wife Camille – The Frasier star and his wife used a surrogate to have their children, Jude Gordon and Mason Olivia.
Deidre Hall – Emmy-nominated actress Deidre Hall is famous for playing Dr. Marlena Evans on the long-running daytime soap opera Days of our Lives. She and novelist husband Steve Sohmer tried to treat their infertility for 20 years before deciding to use a surrogate who gave birth to their baby boy.
