Earlier today I was fiddling around Google Insights for Search, Google’s tool that allows you to see what terms search engine users actually search for, and I came across some interesting information. According to Google, people who search for the term “IVF” come mainly from the top-ranked states in “IVF in America”, our rankings of states based on IVF use.
Here’s a screen shot. Look at all the states under the heading “Regional Interest” at the bottom of the image.
Eight of the top 10 states that search Google for information about “IVF” are top 10 ranked states for actually getting IVF: Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, Maryland, Connecticut, and Delaware.
I don’t know what it means, other than people like to do their research online before buying, but still, it’s interesting.

Could be those are the states where there are insurance mandates for IVF. Mass has full coverage, IL and Md have partial along with a few other states.
